Marriott Manchester Airport

Stayed for two nights prior to flying from Manchester. Had only booked one night but liked it so much we booked another night. Beautiful hotel, beds were very comfortable. Kids can only stay in the pool until 8, adults 10. Breakfast was okay, nothing amazing - first day I would have said 4/5 for breakfast but second day was more 3/5.

Just stayed at the delta hotel Manchester for two over the weekend as it was my wife’s 50th birthday I was greeted at reception by a lovely friendly outgoing member of staff called Kelly! She went out her way to make sure my wife had the best welcome ever!! she put banners up in are room left a bottle of champagne on ice and a little bag of jelly’s (cola bottles) was a absolutely lovely touch all ready booked a park and fly with this hotel for a few weeks time Lovely clean hotel friendly staff good prices would definitely recommend

My wife and i had used this hotel previously and really enjoyed our experience there. We used it as a start to our holiday making the very most of their pool and jacuzzi, their very organised hotel to airport shuttle service and most of all the incorporated San Carlo restaurant which is excellent ( one of my stars is for San Carlo) We booked again for 12 nights parking plus our one night stay and all went well as previously, ok, the pool was closed as someone had been ill whilst in there but that is an unforseen problem which I would not hold against the hotel. The reason for my poor review , fast forward to my return. Arriving back at hotel from a night flight ( delayed) at 3.00am we were dropped at car park by Uber with four cases and many smaller bags after a VERY long day to find our car had been stolen, I'm sure you can imagine the stress we were now feeling. We carted all our belongings uphill to reception to ask for help, the gentleman asked me for my registration plate and said he would go and look, now I know I had been away for a while and I was very tired but amnesia hadn't quite set in yet, I did remember both what my car looked like and where I left it . The night manager seemed at pains to make sure I was aware that my car being stolen was not the hotels liability above offering any other help, like, would you like a room for a few hours, I'll look at cctv for you, can I arrange a taxi, no, none of those. Luckily for us we had taken our family on holiday with us and although by now they were both well away from Manchester they both turned around and although exceptionally cramped they got us home. The main reason for my poor rating is that I left it three weeks and having heard nothing from the hotel I sent them an email explaining what I'd encountered and how disappointed I was. Only then did I hear from the hotel and shock if the main point they got across was that having your car stolen from our car park is nothing to do with us sorry. Having run my own small limited company for over thirty years nothing upsets me more than businesses that don't care about their customers. To me my customers were everything, my business didn't exist without them , unfortunately Delta Hotels don't have the same ethos and i guess feel there are many others where I came from. Thanks to Manchester police and a stroke of luck I did get my car back the following week ( the hotel informed me that only at the request of the police would the CCTV be allowed to be viewed) but the theft caused me an awful lot of stress and financial loss but at least all is good now. As my title reads, it really is such a shame that a hotel we once thought of in high regard has such a poor level of firstly, security and secondly customer service. Be aware that when parking your car at Delta Hotels should it be stolen( mine was stolen 48hrs into a paid 12 night parking booking) the hotel will be in no way responsible for your loss,you will get no assistance from them and not hear from them again.
