Park Crescent Hotel

Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly staff who made check in easy. We were given our key and went up to our room to chill out before an event that we were going to. When we walked in, the room obviously needed a paint as it just looked run down and dirty, there was a lack of pillows (one flat pillow per person) and the bathroom needed an obvious deep clean and revamp. Once we had put our bags down, we went to sit on the bed to chill after a long journey and we noticed SEVERAL hairs all over the pillows and upper half of the beds (almost as though the sheets hadn’t been changed) and black specks all over the bedding making the beds seem dirty and unclean. My friends and I were each wearing white socks which the bottoms of quickly turned dirty and also covered in hairs after walking on the floor with no shoes on, leading me to believe the floors aren’t cleaned either. There were hairs on the coffee table, mugs and saucers, the bathroom sink, EVERYWHERE. We also noticed that behind the sofa in our room, there was a some sort of pest poison which also contributed to the idea of a dirty room. Our toilet didn’t flush properly as the cistern wouldn’t fill enough so we had to fill that ourselves before flushing, the bathroom and shower floors felt dirty, and there was mould on the inside of the shower door hinge. I showered in my crocs as this felt much safer and cleaner. After our event, we got back to the hotel late which we had no issues with but they had turned the heating on with the radiator turned up to full heat which was just uncomfortable. This combined with the lack of pillows made for an awful nights sleep. When we got up in the morning, we enjoyed having a later check out time than most hotels as this gave us more time to pack, shower etc and gather some energy for another long journey home. Check out was easy enough and the staff seemed pleasant but were very persistent on us giving them a good review, which we have not.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It’s in a perfect location – everything you need is just around the corner. The staff were truly outstanding – friendly, helpful, and professional. This is honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The entire place was spotless, recently refurbished, and very comfortable. I had read a few negative reviews before coming, but after staying here, I can confidently say they are completely unfounded. I found none of the issues others mentioned – quite the opposite. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It’s really disappointing that some people leave unfair reviews, because they don’t reflect the true quality of this hotel. I couldn’t find a single fault during my stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay!

Absolutely disgusting!! Tried to book 2 rooms to stay for 1 night, we didn't stay for 20 minutes!! Room is disgusting and very dirty. Bed sheets are dirty with hair and look like they've never been changed. Found bugs in the bed, went back to ask for my money as I did not want stay here and the manager refused to refund me my £150. After an argument, the owner gave me half of my money back and refused to refund for the 2nd room. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
