Waterside Hotel & Leisure Club

We stayed on a Saturday night whilst on university drop-off duties. Hotel is in a pleasant area of Manchester suburbs - fairly small room but nicely furnished with powerful shower. Good bar area. Excellent breakfast with cooked breakfast buffet but also other options (porridge, omelette etc). We didn’t have time to use it but the leisure club looked excellent - big pool and extensive gym. Friendly and efficient service. We would stay again.

We came with quite a bit of luggage but Shelby on the front desk was very helpful and even stored it away for us.

GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE , I HOPE HE IS BLESSED WITH GOOD KARMA, A LOTTERY WIN and BOTH SIDES OF HIS PILLOW ALWAYS STAY COOL In a nutshell- Airbnb cancellation at 00:30 and being followed in the car by the prospective host… TWICE, we pulled into the hotel to seek a room and refuge from the psycho host. SEAN (DONT WORRY WONT FORGET OR MISPELL YOUR NAME) heard my whole long offloading and stress and immediately sprung into action, securing the premises, ensuring a member had oversight on the car park and incoming vehicles, provided us with a hot drink and a opportunity to offload the stress despite being fully booked themselves. Sean is an asset to the organisation and he gave so much credit to Waterside that … HONESTLY I WOULD EXTEND MY TRIP JUST TO WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE A ROOM AVAILABLE ! Airline traffic signal issues, Man United game, Concerts and whatever else has caused Manchester to have all their hotels sold out BUT it never stopped Sean from tirelessly trying to help us find somewhere. It was one of the hotels he supported contacting that finally had a room and 5 hours later, at 05:42am - I could not go to sleep without giving this man so much credit. He gave us more than great customer service but the opportunity to feel SAFE, SEEN, SUPPORTED AND HEARD as he listened to my anxious storytelling of the nights events, the verbal diarrhoea after 100s of hotels having no available as time went on and helping share the stress of finding shelter so that we can rest and ultimately being the reason we even have somewhere ! MATTHEW PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT ME TO DISCUSS THIS AS I WOULD LOVE TO REALLY show me and my partners gratitude for such an amazing human! A little glimmer of hope and humanity in the word that was needed on a night like this! Good night/morning! Lylas & Kyra
