Stayed here with friends on a coach trip. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Shower didn't work, lock on door didn't work.No fire signs on room doors. The food was appalling none of us could eat anything. The smell of weed throughout the hotel was overwhelming and even a woman lying at the hotel entrance! We had to step over her coming in the hotel staff did nothing about this. We did not feel safe staying here. Coach trips should not be sending anyone to this hotel. Avoid this place.

Where do I start. The room was clean and tidy the shower was clean and tidy. The receptionist was ok The carpark is a bit grubby but it's a car park The hotel is Ideally located off junction 27 of the M6 40 miles away from Blackpool Would I stay here again yes I would

I was up in Manchester visiting family when I needed to book an overnight stay. It was me and my adult son plus a dog. The only available hotel was the Britannia in Standish. Now as a chain Britannia hotels can be a bit hit or miss but this one is certainly a hit! Friendly staff at reception and there was a slight mix up as we weren't allocated a pet friendly room on arrival but that was soon sorted out. Room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom looked recently refurbished. All communal areas were spotless. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on food but the bar was welcoming with a pool table and plenty of seating. There were no mysterious foreign men hanging around and there were a couple of coach parties but they were friendly. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip as me and my son had a great time and the dog, Princess Aurora, enjoyed it too.
