Nice staff doing there best in a hotel that looks like its struggling, Reception bar and restaurant nice but the rooms very very poor. Peeling paint, strong chemical smell, extremely dusty, very dirty mattress protector and worn "leather" & multiple stains..... Honestly dont know how this stays open? Lift miles away, not secure to get to the rooms at all, Pool not working ..... Stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and this was one of the worst! Food very poor too Sorry to the staff as they were nice

We spent a night at Kilhey Court to break our journey north. Our room was very quiet, clean and well decorated with an excellent shower. The staff were all very friendly - especially Agnieska, who went out of her way to look after us when we needed help. Our dinner (steak) in the restored dining room with views over the garden was also good - as was the excellent buffet breakfast. It was altogether a very pleasant break in a characterful old hotel set in extensive lawned grounds.

We held a birthday party in the Lakeside Suite for 120 guests. Wendy O'Farrell, Events Manager, did a superb job with the arrangements. The venue is great, and the guests who stayed in the hotel all seemed happy with their rooms. The hotel garden area connects with Worthington Lake, an outstanding area of natural beauty.
