Came to Liverpool for my boyfriend’s birthday and picked this gem for the two nights. Honestly, we loved it. I don’t know what I was expecting inside but it was decorated well, staff were very friendly from the off and breakfast was lovely. We aren’t really Beatles fans but this is an amazing find for any fan but also even if not. The walls are covered in history and memorabilia that was fascinating to read. There’s some great coffee shops, bars etc around the corner and the hotel is in a great location with the park. We took a nice long walk from the hotel along the Mersey into the centre because parking was crazy! Would recommend a stay here.

A beautiful hotel steeped in local history. A warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. The room included everything I needed as well as being spacious and clean. A tasty cooked breakfast with plenty of options. A fantastic dog friendly hotel, located opposite Sefton Park, perfect for a stroll.

The hotel is ideally situated on the edge of Sefton Park, which is beautiful in itself. Lark Lane is just a short walk away. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the City Centre, but also to Speke Hall, a National Trust Tudor property, where I caught a previously booked mini bus tour. The hotel is a must for Beatles fans. Lots of memorabilia and photographs, as it was the former home of Stuart Sutcliffe. I had a lovely large room overlooking the edge of the park, with a well-equipped ensuite and plenty of wardrobe space and tea and coffee making facilities. I would have liked some decaffeinated coffee, but I purchased some from the local Co-op in Lark Lane. I didn’t choose to have breakfast, so I cannot comment on this and I didn’t go down to the bar in the evenings. There are plenty of eateries in the area. The hotel was charming and the staff were friendly. Free parking on-site or just outside in a lay-by off the road. I would book to go there again.
