Adam Drysdale House

Spacious room, comfortable bed. Recently renovated bathroom. We enjoyed our stay. Easy arrival with a digicode and key box (useful in our case due to late arrival), but in any case, the staff is easily reachable. Located in a quiet neighborhood, pubs and restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away and only 10-15 minutes on foot from the old town.

We had a very nice, clean room with a comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. It has a tub and a standing shower (with excellent water pressure). The room has wine glasses, a coffee maker, instant coffee, 3 kinds of tea and partially skimmed milk. We liked being on a quiet street close to a lot of restaurants (mostly South Asian). There’s no breakfast included but there are at least 2 coffee shops within a 5-minute walk and a supermarket.

The location was great. 10 mins to Grassmarket, 15 to the Royal Mile. Plus buses stop regularly on the street and just round the corner, taking you almost anywhere you want too go in Edinburgh on the amazing Lothian bus network. (max £5 a day for unlimited travel). Lots of food outlets just round the corner. Our room was small but comfortable, with easy access through the coded front door. Everything is done digitally from check in to check out, including a digital information book which actually contains very little information. Our on issue is that there is not a single towel rail in the bathroom or room. When you are staying for 5 nights with no change of linen you need somewhere to be able to dry your towels.
