Best Western Plus Bruntsfield Hotel

I had a lovely stay at JA The Bruntsfield Hotel on Friday 26th June 2026. The hotel has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and is in a great location, close enough to enjoy Edinburgh while still feeling peaceful. Boglarka Dombi on reception was very helpful, warm, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I had my AD with me, and she handled everything in a kind and professional way, making the stay feel even more comfortable and stress-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, including a dog bed for my AD. The overall experience was smooth and enjoyable from arrival to departure. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and well-located hotel in Edinburgh.

I booked the Cardoon function suite at the hotel for a funeral reception and also stayed the night of the funeral at the hotel. Everything about it was perfect - it was a very well attended reception and we were close to capacity but the numbers fitted just right. We were able to set the room up as we liked including photo displays and the afternoon tea served was excellent with ample choice. The room itself was well laid out allowing family members to circulate among the guests easily. The hotel also gave us ample time and we were not rushed at all and everything was very well organised under the supervision of hotel manager Imogen Frank who was our single point of contact for dealing with everything. The hotel is in an excellent location near the Meadows in Edinburgh from where you can walk into the West End in around 20 minutes and this room is ideal for a reception of 100-120 guests. I was also impressed with my room and breakfast and with all the staff that we dealt with who were very friendly. I would definitely hire this room again for a similar sized function.

Nice hotel, well located, especially when traveling with a dog, right next to a very large park. Otherwise, it is a 15-20 minute drive to the castle. Friendly staff, great breakfast
