Britannia Edinburgh

Arrived here on 4th july. It will be the first and last time. Paid £402 for 2 nights including parking. Visited For our friends hen do Rooms ; walked into our room the smell was damp and dirty. Counter and Cups provided was dirty. Carpets were old fashion and they definitely was not hoovered we had crumbs everywhere even down to the bed covers and bed matress and matress protector. Bed covers smelt dirty. Absolutely disgusting. Bathroom was dirty brown marks around the toilet on the floor. Floor didn’t look or smell like it was mopped. Shower Curtain was all stained and smelt disgusting. Only Sat on the Bed it was uncomfortable and felt hard as a rock. Went down to reception to complain the receptionist came to see our room her words ‘ whats my concerns’ and this was a supervisor words after showing her our concerns. We asked if we could have a refund but we couldn’t due to manager wasn’t there. Yes we did get a room move after me saying i was worked in a hotel myself and standards and i will be taking this further if we are not moved but it took me to say them words for the room move. Yes the room we got moved to it did have a comfortable bed. Cleaner bathroom but not 100%. However better than first one. Cups was still dirty but we weren’t going to drink out of them because of the first expessions we had. Location; yes was perfect for the occasion as it was hen do in the town. Checked out on 5th july we asked if we could see the manager and again receptionist words was ‘ they not here’. Please from my experience. dont waste money and think the pictures you see and cleaniness is what you will be walking into because its not.

an absolute disaster....customer service is atrocious...if you are going to edinburgh, definitely not Britannia!!!....most of the time there's no water in the room...showering and brushing your teeth are impossible!!!

Had a fantastic time in Edinburgh. But the hotel we stayed in was poor . Room was poor bed was so uncomfortable. Bathroom was dirty mastic was black . I’m ocd on cleanliness and this tipped me over the edge. Towels were never changed . Hotel had no atmosphere . But will go back to Edinburgh but not this hotel
