Canning Street Serviced Apartments

We had a great flat on the first floor.It was comfortable without being luxurious and just perfect for a week at the Fringe. We like the location as it is easy to walk into the city but tucked away enough to avoid the nighttime noise. The flat has plenty of space and we loved the comfortable bed. The windows could all be opened and the temperature was lovely. There is little direct sunshine into this flat so I suspect that it would stay cool even in really hot weather. The shower pressure is acceptable and the water is always hot. The keyless entry is great and the staff are always available if you need them. We've stayed with Destiny Scotland twice and will use them again next year. It is a basic flat but does it well - we'll be back....

The flat is quite spacious and modern, with many strong points to highlight: the appliances (induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, TV) are up to date and work perfectly; the keyless entry via a numeric code removes the worry of losing keys and gives you the reassurance that no previous guest has a copy; the shower is roomy, modern and comes with excellent amenities (soap, shampoo, moisturiser, hair conditioner); the price (especially if you’re a repeat guest) is reasonable; and the initial and periodic cleaning is more than perfect. The icing on the cake is the service they offer to store your suitcase in their offices or in a location near the apartment on the day of departure. Two details could be improved: there were 10 cushions in total – six on the bed and four on the sofa – but only one (burnt) frying pan in the kitchen: perhaps this could be balanced out. The Wi‑Fi (no option for a wired connection) kept dropping, very frequently, to the point that it was almost impossible to make an online purchase, as the payment process kept being interrupted; possibly in August it’s hard to find an IT technician to fix it, but if you plan to use your laptop actively, I’d recommend asking for a guarantee that the internet connection works perfectly.

This is the second time we have used Destiny Scotland. For the same price as an hotel room you get a whole apartment. The team is very quick to respond to any questions. Our apartment was located close to everything. Would highly recommend the Johnnie Walker experience. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying at Destiny Scotland on our next visit.
