Cumberland Hotel

Very friendly staff. Hidden 15 pounds a day parking fee😳. Not the cleanest of hotels. Bed not very comfortable. Outside area could do with a clean and tidy up. Quite a steep slope to main door, especially if a wheelchair user. We stayed in room 27, four flights of stairs carrying baggage 🙄. Room very small and small bathroom. Bar opens at 3pm and closes at 10pm. Outside tables were very dirty. 20 minutes walk to centre. Overall, very basic hotel.

very convenient for local bus route. Hotel needs decorating and updated - lacking cleanliness - stains on duvet and pillows - mould in shower. sticky residue on walls, discoloured towels. Sorry we didnt pay the higher rates for other hotels. i dont have photos but other travellers i see have pics up

The hotel itself is in a great location and has the potential to easily be a 4 star hotel with a bit of investment and some proper cleaning. An hour after arrival I noticed a spill on the stairs trailing all the way through corridors, I notified reception and they said it would be cleaned it was still there 24hrs later even after telling them a second time. We also noticed they had increased the prices of drinks on the night of the concert. Overall the hotel could do with a serious clean but the staff are attentive and rooms are ok at best.
