Edinburgh Marriott Hotel

Booked this hotel (July 14, 2026) because it was close to EDI. Btw, it’s extremely close. After I booked, I saw some bad reviews so I was concerned about my upcoming stay. I have no idea what more people could possibly want out of a hotel. The room was very clean with large beds and nice sheets, the gym was better than almost every hotel gym I’ve seen, the full Scottish Breakfast was extensive and as good as I’ve had on my many travels around Scotland, and the front desk staff were particularly gracious. This is a solid choice with fantastic location for flying in and out of EDI. Give it a try.

Be aware of the parking system. They did not tell us to register our car details on a tablet somewhere in the foyer. We subsequently then got charged a parking ticket. Our car hire company paid the ticket as per their agreement terms and a penalty charge which we got lumped with. Absolute joke. Staff should be trained to inform guests of such a trap.

Very pleasant stay… lovely quiet bedroom . The breakfast was ok but the evening meal in the bar area was outstanding- simply the best burger and chips I’ve had in a very long time. Delicious!
