Haymarket

This hotel is perfectly situated close to town, but on the outskirts enough to not feel too busy - easy walk into town and close to the station for travelling outside of the city. Our room was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed, however there was quite a bit of road noise during the night - earplugs needed! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Little bar downstairs was great! Would definitely recommend.

Hotel in close proximity to the centre of Edinburgh. Reliable transport service if you prefer not to walk. The hotel was very clean and inviting to guests. Full information given on how to contact staff when reception closed. Samantha on reception and Max server at breakfast were very polite and helpful. Small query with reception quickly investigated and sorted out. Excellent Hotel, would not hesitate to book again on visiting Edinburgh.

Great check in experience at 21.30 and really nice staff. However things went downhill from there Fair enough I had only booked a single room and a single occupancy room it certainly was! The term “you couldn’t swing a cat” springs to mind It may sound trivial but after a long day which included a flight from Shetland, I opted for a takeaway meal and watching football on terrestrial tv However this wasn’t possible as the tv didn’t work due to an arial issue that really frustrated me I then decided to go to bed and have an early night than anticipated This didn’t go well as I soon found out that there was was a spring pertruding from the mattress right in the middle of my back To top things off, I was then constantly disturbed due to noisy guests who had to pass my room on route to theirs I have to say that I truly and very rarely give bad reviews but in light of this experience I think it’s only fair to express my disappointment Certain for just short of £200.00 I think that this hotel really short-changed me and should take on board this feedback
