Lairg Hotel

Location is very near to Haymarket station, and there are frequent bus and tram services to the attractions (which are closer to Waverley station). There are some food options around Haymarket station. Rooms are acceptably sized but not extremely big. However, the window in room could not be opened, and the heater wasn't warm enough. The rooms are also not very soundproof, but when I was there there wasn't much noise during sleeping hours so I could still sleep well enough.

Stayed 1 night with my little dog as visiting Edinburgh friends. Centrally located near haymarket train station and was given a small but spotless room which was well equipped and great. Breakfast all you needed and cooked was made fresh. I opted for bowl porridge made fresh and delicious. Highly recommended hotel which is great base for exploring

No sympathy for not being able to make our trip due to unforeseen emergency circumstances. We simply wanted to change our dates, not cancel, but were met with a very blunt response denying us any other options. I understand their policies but in the circumstances I’m sure many respectful business would show some decency during these times. Certainly will be avoiding from now on.
