Murrayfield Park Guest House

We arrived at 13.20 within the specified check in time (13.00-17.00) and there was no one there. The door was locked. Instead there was a note on the door witrh 2 numbers and the instruction were to call to get an access code. Both numbers were voicemails with the message that the caller is unavailable and that we should leave a message. Despite the messages nop one called us back. We waited 1.30 hrs outside the place, no sign of life whatsoever and no reply to our repeaetd calls, We knocked on the door re[eated;y, the doorlbell was not wortking, we asked around but no one seemed to know what was going on. Moreover, we copuld have a look at the inside from the window on the left handside. It had a label NO VACANCIES and there was stacked beds and dirty sheets, dusted and left there for many days. In the end we had to leave and book a room in a place nearby. We we had prepaid 4 nights at the place and during our stay in Edinburgh we visited Mureayfield Guest house daily and we called the numbers but no response whatsoever. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. BOOKING.COM SHOULD NOT INCLUDE THIS PLACE IN ITS OFFERS. THE PLACE IS CLEARLY CLOSED AND YET THEY TOOK OUR PAYMENT WITHOUT DELIVERING ANY SERVICE. WE ARE CONSIDERING LEGAL ACTION.

no one to receive us at 4:15 when we arrived. We were 2 guests waiting. There was a note at the door asking to phone in a 2 different numbers. No answers on any of them. The place smells of musty carpets. We had room #4. The ceiling in the bathrooms is leaking. Probably explains why the lights in the bathroom do not work. Don’t be fooled by the wallpaper. It’s covering mold.

AVOID At All costs. Infestation of bedbugs. Health hazard!!! Called and spoke to Maggie, she said we haven't received a bed complaint in 6 months. However didn't seem surprised I woke up to large bedbugs walking past my pillow in the morning. No refund. No response from management. Feel repulsed. Please look at the pictures and decide for yourself.
