Excellent 2 night dbb offer stay for a silver wedding treat, great welcome, lovely sea view room with a bottle of cava on ice, the food was excellent but the highlight for us was the staff, the best check in experience ever, friendly helpful staff in the bar and restaurant and the cheerful friendly breakfast lady, just a perfect break,
Thank you

I stayed at Nether Abbey Hotel for a couple of days from 7/11/25. The hotel is in a very pleasant part of NB within 10 minutes of town centre. I was warmly welcomed by mine host, Marius (hope spelling right). My room, the breakfast and dining/bar area were all splendid. The food was excellent. The main purpose of my stay was to visit the East Fortune air museum and my visit there was brilliant especially as it included one of the original Concordes. It's about 15 minutes drive from the hotel. All staff were most friendly and helpful. I planned to watch the Rugby match between New Zealand & Scotland on 8/11/25. Marius suggested I watch it in the large bar/dining area of the hotel. I did so and enjoyed the game on the big screen with many others. Sadly NZ beat us! A thoroughly enjoyable couple of days. I will return.

Let me start by saying that the staff here is just wonderful given what they have to work with. From the front desk to the breakfast servers, they are a friendly staff. Our room was up three flights, an offer to help with luggage was refused by us. Got to room in the dark and the electricity was not working in the room. Back down to the lobby and they were on it immediately saying that it sometimes happens in that room. Back up the stairs again on a worn and dirty carpeted stairs, a fuse box outside the room remedied the situation. We finally called it a night. Left the bath light on with door closed to find our way at night. Got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and a hornet flew at me in the bathroom. I swatted at it and looked up and there were 30 hornets on the walls and attached to the overhead light. My husband had to kill them all, and we found more when daylight hit. We reported it to our breakfast servers, who said she would tell a manager when they came to work later that day. We were told that the light attracted them and they were looking to come inside where it was warm and we had left a window ajar which it was, but not by us.
I also advised them that I carry an epi pen due to my bee allergy and this could have been fatal for me. We have not heard a word since.
