Perfect in every way. Very comfortable room with stunning view of Forth Bridge (rail bridge). The reception staff (i never got their names) were so welcoming and friendly. The food was to die for, the service was way, way above exceptional, from everyone, receptionist, housekeepers, bar staff, chefs, everyone. Comfy beds, very clean rooms, friendly cat who walks over the roof and says hiya through the window. Ewelina was concerned when she thought we hadn't turned up for dinner, and came to check we were ok. I'm sure the staff thought my friend Sue and I (both of us are retired nurses) were as mad as a bag full of proverbial mad things (we are!), but they didn't say so. They took time to ask about our day (boat trip, going up the Forth Rail Bridge to the top) and were never too busy to chat. Everyone really did go above and beyond. Our sincere thanks to them all. We didn't want to leave!

We had breakfast on 2 consecutive days & the quality of the food was excellent. The service on both days was friendly & really helpful, especially when the fried eggs were missing on one occasion. Finally a lovely view from the upstairs restaurant.

Just fantastic! Just the one night but everything was perfect. Room immaculate, staff brilliant and food tremendous. Cannot recommend highly enough. Never disappointed.
