The Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel

The hotel had excellent rooms, perfect location, professional and friendly team, breakfast was amazing , and housekeeping was outstanding .

Booked this for my wife and I and paid more for a castle view room. Little do you know that rooms on that side are by night clubs and bars in the street and there were revellers singing fighting, swearing and shouting until will after 4am seemingly right below my first floor window. When I contacted the front desk they told me they hoped I could sleep but had to understand it was a city centre hotel and I had to just put up with it. For the same cost there are other city centre hotels in a quieter location so I would suggest looking a the Kimpton or the Intercontinental instead. Not what I expect from Hilton or any way to treat a Gold member

My husband and I arrived in Edinburgh very early and went straight to the hotel. We were greeted by Erin at the front desk. She was so helpful, apologetic that we get into a room early because the hotel was full. She fave us several options if things we could still do at the hotel. I was able to use the spa, exercise room and then she set me up in lively lounge. She also was able to help me charge my watch that was about to die. I went to use the spa so I could change into running clothes and met Josh, what a gem. He showed me around, let me put my belongings in a safe space, and was just delightful! Another special spa person, Jessica, also helped me. I used a locker in the ladies locker room and locked myself out if the locker. She was so kind and brought the key to open it up. She was sweet and so professional. These three young individuals gave superb customer service, and I wanted to make sure they were recognized.
