Three Salmons Hotel

We stayed at the Three Salmons for one Saturday night in August. The building is lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful or kinder. We did not visit the bar or restaurant but they looked lovely and beautifully furnished. I struggled to sleep as it was a Saturday night and we had the room above the bar but it became quieter around midnight and some ear plugs helped.

Despite the positive reviews of this hotel, it was one of the worst nights sleep ive experienced. The room has an open plan bath room which means you bath and use the toilet in the bedroom. Fine if you’re on your own, but just not great if sharing with someone. In addition to this, the room was in the top of the building and was absolutely boiling. No fan or air conditioning and the traffic noise with the windows was so bad a barely slept at all. In summary, the staff were friendly and helpful during check in, but i would avoid staying here again because of the traffic noise and room layout.

The 3 salmons was a lovely hotel ,beautiful gardens and rooms, lady on front of house was lovely a real Gem, happy to help with a smile, our room was lovely and clean looking over the gardens, only odd thing was no wardrobe in bedroom,, we went to a wedding and called back for a couple more drinks before bed, to find everything locked up, after ringing to bell, the gentleman told us,,,, if we go out we can't get back in, we surprised us, 🤷 so bed we went
