Golden Lion

We visited The Golden Lion for a light bite ladt Wednesday evening. We sat in the conservatory as the sun was setting and had the calamari, the onion rings and the skinny fries accompanied by a beer and a pina colada. Thoroughly enjoyable. Not too busy on this particular occasion Not the cheapest of places locally however we pop in regularly for a coffee or a lite bite.

Beautiful place,very nice beer garden with lovely sea views,room was spotless,& a fantastic breakfast served by very nice staff,it was a lovely stay❤️❤️❤️

This was a pleasant place to stay in an outstanding location. We had a wonderful time. Things that could have made it perfect (I am being picky but have been spoiled lately in a nearby hotel where I had the extra touches) 1) more transparency upon booking that the parking needed to be pre booked and was quite expensive per night. We parked a few streets away but I doubt that would work for all. 2) just a couple of complimentary bottles of water in the room. All staff were pleasant. Some staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat here as breakfast was not included in our room and would have cost and addition &18.95 per person, but the restaurant looked popular and staff looked attentive as we walked past. I would recommend staying here but plan where you are eating and parking as part of it!
