Hotel Elizabeth Dukes Head

Have stayed here several times in the past and sadly, this will be thge last time unless Surya hotels spend some money on this characterful hotel. Our "spacious" family room was indeed spacious and its position is right in the centre of King's Lynn. However, the shower strength was middling and the water temperature was only tepid; the furniture needs refreshing as does the plug sockets (which are not enough for the main room and had no USB ports. Parking is expensive at £15 for 24 hrs.

Had a 2 night stay here was we are a fan of the surya group Hotel was full of character just like The George in Colchester Staff were friendly and let us stay in the suite for one of the nights while a problem was fixed with our shower although it was a bit of a inconvenience having to pack/ unpack twice We ate in the hotel first night and can thoroughly reccomend the sticky pork and rice and the cocktails. Would definitely stay here again

We took advantage of the 2 night DBB and cream tea offer. I read the complaints of the "exorbitant" car parking fees and wonder what world some peple inhabit. There is a large public car park in front of the hotel but the thought of feeding meters and anxieties about tickets and fines ruled this out for us. The hotel car park is convenient and easily accessible. The hotels public areas are elegant and immaculately presented. The receptionist was friendly and efficient and apologised for the lift being out of order but we already knew that from a previous informative email from the hotel. It was returned to working order the following day. We were in Room 212 and it was clean, comfortable and had everything we expected. The shower wasn't very powerful but adequate. Dinner in Turner's Restaurant was excellent. The food was tasty, the portions good and the waiting staff professional and friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Overall the hotel is good value for money and I would recommend it.
