Wensum Guest House

My husband and I were very much looking forward to staying here whilst visiting my brother for my birthday. After a 4 hour drive and having paid in advice, we found a notice on the door saying that the guest house has had to close down due to financial issues. An email would have saved us a lot of trouble and a lot of money as we have had to pay for another room for the night. Shocked to see they are still taking bookings on the website!! I feel for the owners and staff, but no attempt was made to contact us at all. Bookings should not have been taken and money should not have been accepted. I just hope I can be refunded.

We unfortunately turned up last week to find this place has closed & they hadn't the decency to let us know. I was told in January they were refurbishing it. As to date no-one will return my phone calls as there was a phone number on the door to contact. Fortunately through luck we found somewhere to stay but until the Friday we didn't know if we had a room to sleep in as we were meeting friends on the Saturday. Im still owed the deposit they took from me! We are annoyed & upset as we have been visiting this place for years & been loyal customers thanks Wensum for your loyalty to me

This place took our Booking a week later they closed their doors and did not let any bookings know what had happened. if it was not eor my wifes family letting us know via phone, we would have travelled to Norwich with no where to stay
