Lochgreen House Hotel

Attended a wedding here and also stayed in the hotel . I would say for anyone thinking of booking this venue for a wedding they should as everything is co ordinated so well with great attention to detail . The setting is lovely also The food was delicious and my friend who only days before had been diagnosed as coeliac meaning a phone call to the hotel regards food and we were pleasantly surprised that they got everything right and couldn’t do enough for us hence the 5 star review as there was a few things that could be improved on however their customer service was excellent. To me that is the most important thing The breakfast is table service which we really liked and a decent choice of items . The rooms are quite old fashioned which is in line with the hotel and I believe the Rad group are looking at a refurbishment. One thing missing is a fridge . Plenty of room for it as the rooms are very spacious . The only other thing that they could work on is the allocation of staff pre wedding . No guests were from Ayrshire so most had travelled a great distance. It was a 1.30 wedding however most guests were there from 12 onwards and there was only 1 person serving at the bar so that should be assessed . Other than that thoroughly enjoyed our stay

New owners and disappointing changes- 1. Prices up 2. No shortbread with coffee 3. No towels in the toilets 4. Service below par, sugar asked for three time and never arrived Lochgreen was an experience, a treat, somewhere way above the others…. Now the new owners are letting it slip into mediocrity…. Hope it improves

Attended wedding of our wonderful niece. Super staff experience and the whole weekend was top quality. Large rooms and real character - felt very real and full of character. Staff helped with where to walk, visit and the stay inc breakfast and diners for us was spot on. Brilliant place
