Good location. Room very tired but clean. Not a good nights sleep due to gulls next to bedroom window making a noise as soon as daylight arrived

Decent location close to town centre. Efficient check in and friendly staff. Rooms definitely on the small side and pretty basic. Hotel certainly a little dated - the pool was being refurbished during our visit so can't comment on the leisure facilities. Decent bar and good range of drinks. We were not looking fancy accommodation and it did the job and as expected for the price we paid.

Stayed there from 5th January to 26th April on a business trip. The hotel itself is in need of a little modernisation especially the bedrooms. The receptionists are helpful, chatty and appear proud to assist you. The under managers are helpful and friendly and are a good team who work well together. The assistant manager needs to polish his customer service skills. Overall my stay at the Mercure was a 4 out of 5. This was my home away from home. The meals are good and the bar is well stocked. The rooms if required can be serviced daily. I opted for once a week. ☆☆☆☆
