QUEEN'S

We stayed here on a coach trip from Kent. Couldn't fault anything about the stay. Lovely spacious room overlooking the River. Short walk across the bridge into lovely York. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We had half board, good choice on the menu and food very good. Highly recommended

VERY DISAPPOINTING !! We were coming to york to pick up my engagement ring could have easily got a travel lodge but my other half said no we need smthing nicer it’s a special occasion …. The location of the hotel is superb , the breakfast area was nice & the breakfast was lovely … all from there is not good …. Our room was pokey & dated it had an air conditioning unit in it which sounded like a helicopter so you could not have it on pointless!! One side of the bed went down into a dip also . Over all the hotel needs an update TLC , painted & a good clean , the glass door area at reception was dirty & it Just lacked un kept . Talk of the staff we dealt with were very nice but we won’t be back & for that kind of money it’s very very disappointing

Me and my mum stayed here for the past 5 days. I wasn't impressed with hotel. The rooms didn't feel overall clean. The carpet looked like it had not seen a hoover in years in both the room and bar area. I hated walking on it. Room was super hot and the window would close on its own accord.The bath/shower could do with a new one preferably with a detachable shower head. Found the staff not very polite or friendly. Specially Mandy who served us every evening. The food was abysmal. Vegetarian food was disgusting and the choices my mum had were awful too. It felt like a menu from years gone by. Quality of breakfast was a 0. The scrambled egg was the worst we have ever had. On the plus side it was nice to able to get prime and netflix on the tv in the hotel room. Restaurant and bar area needs updating. And the location is good for the city centre.
