Best Western Crown Hotel

Spent the weekend at the Crown Hotel when attending a wedding in Ripon Cathedral then the reception 3 miles away from hotel. Our room was very good, with a very comfortable kingsize bed, immaculate white bedding, plenty of storage and 2 chairs as well as kettle, coffee machine, iron and board. Bathroom was very clean but hotel maybe should replace the bath with a walk-in shower as it was very slippy climbing in to shower. Water was hot & plenty pressure. We ate in hotel bar on first night, good menu and we both enjoyed what we chose. Seems to be a popular eating place with locals. Breakfast was excellent , plenty selection of cereals, fruit and yogurt with hot dishes cooked to order. Pots of tea and coffee which were replenished should you have a thirst! Staff were very pleasant throughout the hotel. We were able to park in hotel grounds which made us feel safe leaving the car the whole weekend. Would love to come back to the area to look around and would certainly stay at the Crown again. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Lovely meal in restaurant. Nice atmosphere . Matthew was a delight to chat with great sense of humour & helpful.

Just returned from a 2night stay . Very friendly staff -special mention to Matthew serving us at the bar . The manager Emma,is lovely and works hard . The bedrooms are disappointing. The bathroom has an old shower curtain , shower outdated and enamel peeling off the bath ! They need to be completely refurbished. This lets the hotel down . The breakfast are lovely and would be happy to return when the bathrooms are renewed ,
