A very friendly hotel in the very best location in the city of Liverpool. The breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. Clean and comfortable, close to everything

Have stayed here several times in the autumn/winter. This time was really poor as the aircon doesn’t work, the windows hardly open and it is a loud neighbourhood. Staff didn’t even have the sense to keep curtains closed on the sunny side of the building. So the room was insufferably hot. They did offer us a fan which made a marginal difference. We clearly weren’t the only ones as many people were having the same discussion in reception. Hotel did offer us our money back but in a city with every hotel booked (like thousands we were there for the Open golf) that wasn’t worth much by the time we arrived. Really poor

Super location just opposite Lime Street Train Station. The staff (all) were brilliant. I dont want to single anyone out but Kathy at breakfast deserves a mention. Thank you to the hotel for making our stay and my brother in laws birthday special. Great breakfast. All restaurants ( there are many good ones) are in easy walking distance. We would recommend the Ivy ( stunning decor and ambience) and Zeus (Greek). Spent a few lively hours listening to a great band in the Cavern Club. An England win at rugby at the Hill Dickinson Stadium (about a 40 minute walk) and then watched the football (another England win) back at the hotel. We will definitely return to Liverpool and the Holiday Inn. Great City. Friendly people. Fabulous hotel. Great Restaurants and Bars. Absolutely fantastic trip. Only downside was EMR trains which were shocking with cancellations, delays and rude staff. Car Park next to hotel ( £8 per day) so will drive next time.
