Best Western York Pavilion

We had a lovely stay at The Pavilion hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and our room was comfortable and homely. Spacious parking was available with EV charging. This was available for a fee, but we felt it was well worth it for the convenience, especially since we're just staying for 2 nights. Some people might feel that facilities in the bathroom were outdated, however they were clean and adequate. Everything was comfortable and had character. We would definitely return.

This hotel looks lovely from outside but dont be fooled into spending your hard earned money here. The rooms are dated, smell musty and are full of mould on the bathroom ceiling. The folder with the comments card was covered in mould, the fan was so dusty it was unusable. All the issues were raised with reception but we were only staying one night thankfully. We even paid with best western points and still felt robbed. The management need to spend some money renovating the place, and stop making excuses that the building is old. It is old but filthy and uncared for. There are better places in the City. I dont like leaving bad reviews but people need to know before they spend their money.
