Heworth Guest House

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely place. Our host Sue was very friendly and hospitable. Our triple room was immaculate and very comfortable. Our trip included breakfast which was freshly cooked to order, delicious and generous in portions! It had everything you can ask of a B&B we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting somewhere comfy to base themselves for a city break. It is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from centre of York. Taxi back (little legs had had enough at the end of first day) was just over £5 so not too bad. We would definitely stay there again.

The Hepworth Guest House is well worth a visit. It’s lovely and clean and Chris is very welcoming and helpful. We had Attic room 2. It’s very spacious with good en-suite, tv and plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The breakfast is very tasty and huge and there’s lots of choice. All in all a really enjoyable weekend.

Stayed one night in the attic room. Although up two flights of stairs, the stairs are easy and should not put you off. Good size room with all the advertised amenities. Was not aware of any traffic noise despite the guest house being on quite a busy road. Only 20 minutes walk into the centre. Managed to park round the corner although can se that sometimes might be difficult to park nearby. Very good breakfast - generous cooked dishes. Only met Sue who was very friendly. Would certainly return.
