Minster Walk Accomodation

Shower in Room 8 is very slippery when wet. There is a good-grip mat under the water. But behind it is slippery with water. Solved this by putting one of our towels on the floor so we didn’t slip getting out. Adding a 2nd mat or maybe a safety bar would help. Hard to describe this place. Words like Unique, Quirky, Different, Snug, Old, Expensive, etc., come to mind. You must climb 20 stairs with your luggage to crowded Room 8. MUST check email before arriving to find entrance code. You can leave your luggage to get if you have a tour. We did. And helped another couple who, like us previously, stood helplessly at the front door since we had no internet to find the code. An envelope waits INSIDE the locked door which does you no good without the code. There is no one there in the evening. Some might enjoy coming back. Once is enough for us.

Fabulous, quirky guest house! Stayed for one night while en-route down south earlier this month. Super friendly and helpful staff. Self check in was a breeze. Comfy, clean, lots of coffee, tea etc. Everything thought of. In the morning, your breakfast is either served to you in your room or in their quaint little lounge area. You order it the night before and it’s served in wicker baskets for you to unpack at your table - very sweet. Will 100% visit again.

This couldn’t have been in a better location, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating and the house itself felt like a little hidden gem we’d stumbled upon. This is a place that knows that small details make a big difference - whether it’s a breakfast hamper hand delivered to your room in a wicker basket or a little tub of sweets left on the bed, the guys running this place genuinely care that you have a wonderful stay and it shows. We already want to come back and we’re only just leaving! Would highly recommend.
