The Brentwood Guesthouse

We had a fantastic night in york, the room was a bit small but very clean and well supplied with tea, coffee etc, I did ask before hand to have some flowers put in the room before mine and my partners arrival to cheer her up after a long day travelling but there was none put in the room but all round a good BnB, will definitely stay again

Truly horrible place - odd people hanging around, endless stairs, tiny dark corridors….and then you get to your ‘room’…. Sure, if I was a blind, penniless student I might stay there but omg….for modern day tourists! You’re joking. Shower steps straight out into the room, sink is in the room, and toilet feels like it’s also in the room….just a flimsy door next to the bed between you and relationship issues…. We came, we saw, we threw up in our mouths a little, and then we left…. Please don’t go there - life can be so much better

Horrible. Work being completed on the property as we arrived and they had to hold the door frames to stop them hitting us. We were told the room was on the second floor when it was actually on the fourth. No lift and you had to carry your suitcase up a small winding staircase. A normal house had been turned into multiple rooms and the noise was horrible. In the room, the sink and shower were actually in the room and the toilet had been built into a cupboard. No privacy at all. We didn’t dare actually sleep in the room. A horrible experience.
