The Sands

Booked to stay for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary in the same room we stayed in 18 months ago for my 60th and we weren’t disappointed. The apartments are spotlessly clean, well equipped and so comfortable. The views are amazing and the sound of the sea so relaxing. Life in the slow lane really can happen here🥰

Lovely apartment in a convenient place. This is our second time.

The location is unbeatable, just yards from the North Bay beach and sea. We just had our sixth visit to The Sands, this time in room 308 which has an excellent view of the bay the castle and marine drive. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable, (really comfy beds) perfect for a short stay but would be equally suitable for longer stays. There are a number of good places for breakfast close by and an open top bus service runs frequently from just outside the apartments into town. Reception staff were friendly and helpful as always, a young team but very professional. Be aware that on nights where “Big Names” are appearing at the nearby open-air theatre, large crowds can gather in the bars below some of the sea view rooms for pre- and post-concert drinks, so some noise is possible. The Sands complex is now one of our favourite places and we shall no doubt return. Highly recommended.
