The Scarborough Travel and Holiday Lodge

Spent 3 nights in this dump never again

Absolutely shocking !! The location was great, but our experience there was not! The room was quiet small and the view was poor although you could upgrade and get a better view if booked early enough, the room decor was very dated and in poor condition, the doors and walls had been previously damaged and poorly repaired showing this under the new paint covering, the carpet was very dirty and worn, the bathroom was the worst part of our stay, very very dated, the flooring was pitted and had bits all over it , mould and muck on the skirting boards , the shower was very dated also, no attachments for washing below, the bath was an awful off colour and felt dirty and had scale on the inside, under the sink was rotten and had mould and dirty all on display. The bed was ok, sheets looked fresh and clean.. the customer service was terrible, no hello I hope your stay here is great here for you this evening and upon leaving there was no, hi how was your stay , was the room all ok for you! Nothing , just took our key and said bye, well bye it is as I don’t think we would ever stay there again , certain not at the price we paid, the price was more then double of the normal price due to having concert on nearby, as most hotels do, but at least you should have a nice stay and service when getting your eyes taken out … thank god we didn’t stay for the breakfast. Very very poor and totally disappointed…

Very unkept hotel , carpet not fitted properly, cobwebs, bathroom hanging on hinges,no soap in bathroom sink dispenser, soap dispenser in shower broken , absolutely flllty windows, lifts broken & no kitchen service available..lots of unsavory characters hanging around reception and outside the place ..I would not have felt save if I was alone ..good location for town only positive..no parking nearby .
