Stayed here for a couple of nights for my sisters wedding. I honestly wasn’t expecting much being so cheap. But honestly one of the best holiday inn express that we’ve stayed at. I’m a IHG member and stay at holidays inns all up and down the UK Birmingham, Oldbury, Wakefield I’d be here all day naming them all. I’ve stayed in some very posh hotels as well in Paris and Rome but nothing compares to what you get from a hotel that brings a family welcome vibe. Yes a hotel with a pool etc is nice but honestly I’ve slept in hotels with pools and saunas and had the worst night sleep, awful customer services and never returned. This was cheap, basic but one of the best and I truly mean it. Staff was very very friendly and kind. Blonde lady in particular and girl who mentioned it was her sisters wedding. I always feel weary travelling as a single mom but straight away I felt welcomed and just safe. Room was clean, good size, comfortable bed and we had a sofa which I didn’t expect. Also NO NOISE at all!!! Absolute heaven. They even gave us late checkout until 1pm as we got back late from the wedding and was exhausted and I was so grateful having to travel back to Yorkshire that morning. I did get worried I’d hear traffic from the motorway after realising how close the hotel was but nothing at all! Breakfast in the morning was nice considering it was included. Plenty for my autistic daughter to choose from who is very limited in what she eats but she was happy! It was all fresh as well. On check out I made sure to let staff know how pleasant our stay was and comfortable it was. I’d go back whenever down that way again and honestly would pay double. The staff make it what it is 1000% so a great big thank you to all of you. Hopefully be back soon

Standard Holiday Inn Express offer - breakfast had usual good range, but hot food (and coffee) maybe not as nice as we've had at other HI Express hotels. Staff welcoming and very helpful - not least as we'd complicated things by booking for two nights, but separately to do one night on all loyalty points and one for all money. Loved the big triptych mirror in the bathroom, except it showed my age. Got a mechanical hum from outside first night but it didn't keep us awake; in the morning we were offered a different room but declined and it didn't happen the next night. The location is very convenient, close to the M1 but only twelve minutes from town - use SatNav and take the Saxon Avenue route to town to avoid having to go all the way round the Mway junction trying to get in the right lane - or use the regular bus service nearby if you don't want to pay for parking in the town.
