Fabulous service, great food.

We have just returned from an overnight trip to the Quays in Northampton. I just wish we could have stayed longer. Firstly plenty of free car parking if you are staying there. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking a boat marina, with lots to do within walking distance. This is not a five star hotel, however they have five star staff working in the hotel and the bar. Two people stood out on our trip. The older lady who served us in the bar was amazingly friendly and informative. She seems to be there 24 hours, also the lady at reception last night This girl at reception could not do enough for us and so friendly with a great sense of humour. Whoever is the manager of this team is doing an amazing job to have the staff so motivated. We had a wonderful breakfast this morning again served by staff who clearly love their job. Unfortunately we did not eat there last night as the food looked delicious and such good value. We had a pre-booked meal at Hickory Smokehouse, which was awful. Stay at the Quays and eat there would be my suggestion. Next visit to Northampton we will be staying back at the Quays. A fantastic place to stay with fantastic staff. Thankyou again

Absolutely fabulous two night stay here. Plenty of car parking. The room was great, the bed was so comfortable. A cube wardrobe, iron and ironing board and hairdryer in the room, kettle with coffee, tea and milk, nice toiletries provided in the bathroom which had a walk-in shower. There was plenty of space to manouevre in the room which was a bonus as there was two of us. Breakfast was included and on offer were cereals, pastries, toast, full-English, tea etc. Hotel guests get 20% off most food on the afternoon menu including the carvery - there is an aquadrome and caravan site next door and due to the number of people on walk-in it was very busy this weekend so meal booking is advisible. Next door to the hotel is a petrol station with a shop for water, newspaper and groceries. There are other eateries in the area too. The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing, really friendly, helpful, always smiling, couldn't do enough for the guests. No bus service that we saw so a car is essential if you want to get around. We will definitely stay here again, the value for money is brilliant.
