The Gables

Absolutely fabulous B&B - there’s nothing negative to say! Spacious bedroom and lovely large bathroom with bath and shower. Everywhere was spotless too. The Gables is remote, however that means you get peace, birdsong and starry nights. Angus was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable regarding local sites. Just book! You won’t regret it 😀 Phil and Sam.

Beautiful old house with lovely rooms and comfy beds just a few miles from Berwick upon Tweed. Breakfast was also a highlight and Angus was full of suggestions for places to visit, things to do and eating out in the local area. Couldn't recommend more!

If you are fed up with impersonal hotels but want to stay in a luxurious suite with beautiful restored period furniture, high ceilings without a single cobweb, in oir case a bath and a shower, this is for you. Angus has an immaculate period house in a secluded location surrounded by rolling fields, adjacent to a seemingly deserted church. Breakfast was exceptional, this wonderful establishment massively exceeded our expectations. Perhaps we’ll give up hotels now; or maybe The Gables is simply at the top of the B&B game and we’ve been spoilt!
