The Haven

We had a short two night stay at The Haven in August for a family break. The Haven is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay right and is only a 5 minute walk into the village. The host was friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel has a lovely peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful, well equipped with everything you need, tastefully decorated and very clean. We had beautiful countryside views and woke up one morning to two deer on the front lawn. Breakfast was great with lots of fruit, Yoghurt, juices and cooked options. The hotel was great value for money and perfect for exploring Northumberland. We would definitely come back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay here. Very clean and comfortable accommodation and plenty of choices on the breakfast menu. A welcome pot of tea and scone with jam and cream on arrival. Roz and Ian were friendly and very accommodating and made several suggestions of places to eat. I recommend Little Italy, an Italian Pizzeria and takeaway (twice we took Lasagnes and Pizzas back to eat at The Haven) and The Turks Head (where we ate three times).

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at The Haven. It's a beautiful house in a great location for exploring Northumberland. The hosts Roz and Ian made us feel very welcome, they were so friendly, chatty and easily approachable and offered suggestions for where to eat locally and sightseeing. We were given drinks and homemade treats on arrival which was a nice touch. We stayed in the Scots Pine room which was bright and very spacious with a lovely view. Quality sea kelp toiletries were provided in the ensuite bathroom and nice soft towels. Breakfast was exceptional, a fantastic choice, quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Roz makes beautiful chocolate bars with top quality ingredients which were available to purchase, free samples were also in our room. We visited nearby Cragside, a spectacular National Trust property and extensive grounds. We would definitely stay at the Haven again and highly recommend it.
