Great location with everything on the doorstep. Very warm welcome from the hosts. Very large comfy bed. Would definitely stay again. Saw other reviews complaining about the parking. It really wasn't a problem just have to be alittle organised. There is a free car park for 24hours at the bottom of the street called pottersgate carpark or you can park for free outside the hotel after 6pm. Set the parking clock to 8 o'clock and then you will have to 10am (you will find a clock in your room or can get from any of the local shops.) One evening we stayed to eat and the food and service was delightful.

Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff, fine ales and cracking food. Third visit today - and it gets better. Highly recommend the ‘fish’n’chip’ butty. Will return soon.

Varied menu and very good food. Great fresh local fish and venison. Exceptional and friendly service. Booking essential as very popular.
