The Old School

Hard to add to previous excellent reviews - Steve and Yvonne's friendly welcome (which included tea and cakes), the breakfast, the room, the village, were all superb and we left feeling we'd found new friends. Just a couple of small niggles - Wi-Fi didn't work in our bedroom, but it did on the landing, so not a real problem, and our shower decided to "go cold" on us for a couple of minutes. It's also not too easy to find if using sat nav as the whole village appears to share the same post code and the B&B sign stands back from the road. Possibly the best B&B we've ever stayed in, so definitely recommended.

For our honeymoon we wanted to be in a quiet,lovely place and I am glad my husband chose The Old School The Reception from the moment we arrived from both Steve and Yvonne was lovely it felt like we have met before Followed by a well detailed historic tour to the then school but currently a Bed and Breakfast we easily started our settling down in our new home for the 3 days we were in the area The room prepared for us was wonderful with a touch of red and black and a lovely bathroom not forgetting the availability of a telly,and lots of tea and coffee products in the room which made the room sort of a home making it worthwhile for our stay The Breakfast was something that we always looked forward to from the quality,quantity and the presentation of the food as well the hospitality from the couple was amazing With a lot of visitor information on activities to do within the area available at the Old School room's hallway we would recommend this place to those who love quiet places and to the countryside lovers Thank you Steve and Yvonne for the hospitality and for making our stay a memorable one!!! ❤💕💕

We visited Old School B&B this week, and I can't praise it enough, the room was lovely the breakfast was excellent. The Old School is set in a beautiful Village just off the A1, ideal for visiting any where in Northumberland. But the best was the warm hospitality from Steve and Yvonne, such lovely people welcoming you into their home, with in two minutes of our arrival we felt that they were friends we had know all our lives. We had such a lovely stay, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you Steve and Yvonne you made our holiday.
