The Angel and Royal is a charming inn of very great age. It has good clean rooms, excellent beds, and large free car park. The best evening meals are absolutely top rate. Inside there are lots of steps but no lift. Not the best place for children or for those who like a garden, trees or grass. Excellent for those fascinated by medieval history.

Just the definition of perfection for a stay - incredible 800 year old history with Richard III having stated there and the hôtel brings out these details so well. Friendly and professional and quick check in. A huge wonderful room with antique furnishings and a lovely bath where I could relax. High quality Yorkshire tea , hot chocolate , coffee and even biscuits too! Such a soft comfortable bed with high quality linen. Everywhere was spotlessly green. Really thank you for my first trip to Grantham!

I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone that made the event on Friday night so successful. Your communication from the initial enquiry through to delivery was fantastic . Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and helpful and the team could not do enough to make the event a success. The food was excellent and the service just lovely with truly delightful team members. You should all be so proud of the operation you are delivering a great hospitality environment in all aspects.
