Best Western Deincourt

Great hotel, staff are brilliant. I’ve been coming here now since November 2025 every week for 2 nights a week. The staff are incredible. They have looked after me for months now and I can’t recommend this hotel enough

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The assistant manager is absolutely atrocious. I arrived at the hotel late at night after travelling 2 hours from home, to be told the hotel was overbooked and they had no rooms for me. The payment had been taken AND I had confirmation of the booking via email- I was told ‘its not our problem, seems like its your problem’ he then explained this was the second time it had happened today, to which I explained that- it does actually in fact, seem like their problem then… to then be shouted at and told ‘DONT BLAME ME’ he was extremely aggressive and rude. I asked for my money back so I could book somewhere else and I was told ‘I dont have your money; you’ll have to take that up with the booking site’ … I ended up begging for them to send me confirmation that they didnt have any rooms, so I could request a refund through the booking site- my email address was taken, but funnily enough- I never received anything. Worst customer service ever and I didnt even make it to the room. The hotel is rank, smelt like damp, very dated and not somewhere I’d recommend, ever- even if you’re desperate.

We loved our stay here. We were in an annexe room number 27, own front door from the front yard. The room was massive, a double bed, 2 singles, a wardrobe, dressing table, coffee table and 2 chairs, and still so much room. A nice big TV too. It was comfortable and clean and very high ceilings. Not keen on patterned duvet covers, plain would be better and look fresh. The double duvet was quite thin and the room was chilly, but we turned the radiator up in the room and in the bathroom and it was fine. Black out curtains did the job and we did not hear any road noise at all and we were right next to the road, which is a main road. Bathroom was ok, it was clean, wasnt too keen on the quite high step into the shower cubicle, maybe a handrail would help, I used the sink to help me down. Nice shower. I use an electric wheelchair, and the hotel really doesn't accommodate this well. I couldn't get over the front door threshold to reception. 2 steps up to our room door, and although they did try to help by bringing a ramp, it didnt really work so I ended up holding on a walking up the steps. They looked after my chair in the reception. There is quite a steep slope beyond reception to get to the bar and dining room, then in the bar only high bar stool chairs to high tables, so not appropriate if your in a chair, and then again for a wheelchair user to get to the dining room, 2 steps down, then into the room one step down then one up. Again I ended up holding onto walls and getting myself in there on foot. I would suggest they need to look at getting some adaptions in place, handrails etc and making that threshold in reception easier to get over. The food, both dinner and breakfast was out of this world. Big portions and a good menu to choose from. And affordable prices. We were the only ones using the restaurant for dinner, and at breakfast only saw one other person. I dont know if they weren't busy or what, but the restaurant can accommodate alot of people at any one time. After breakfast we sat in the garden for a while, it was lovely out there, very tranquil, clean and tidy, lovely lawn. We only saw a couple of members of staff, basically they did a bit of everything. They were lovely, very friendly people, and very caring and couldn't do enough for us. We would definately return to this hotel. Our experience was great, I hope it's the norm and not only because there weren't alot of people about, but I would like to think that this is how they are with everyone whether they are busy or quiet. We will be back and will be requesting that same room and hope that our recommendations would have been put into place. Thank you for a lovely stay.
