My partner and I came to The Randolph for a couple of nights to end our two-week holiday. It was bittersweet for us as we’d had a wonderful time that was coming to an end. The entire team at the hotel took away the ‘bitter’ part as soon as we walked into the hotel. Marija at reception gave us one of the warmest welcomes I have ever received at a hotel and continued to help us throughout our stay with any questions we had. She remembered my full name and even recognised my voice over the phone - I am truly impressed. The food and drinks team was also wonderful and made our two dining experiences at The Alice lovely and warm. In addition, any requests we had were answered or an alternative was offered. Shout out to Alpha and the gentleman with glasses (I sadly did not catch his name) at The Alice for their friendly service. We were also able to borrow bikes, which was a lovely way to explore the city. Lastly, we visited the spa where a lovely gentleman from Toronto welcomed us with a huge smile. All over an absolutely wonderful experience and I would recommend anyone coming to Oxford to stay in this lovely property.

The Randolph, Oxford is a very good hotel but it does have a few annoying blemishes. Strengths; 1. The staff are well motivated, professional and attentive. There are also quite a lot of them. 2. I have never been in a hotel with so many comfy chairs. They are everywhere, in bedrooms, the bar, the lounge and the restaurant. Having a quiet lounge without a bar or canned music is a massive plus. 3. Breakfasts are superb and they are taken in a beautiful room . 4. The Morse Bar serves all sorts of drinks, most of which I have never heard of. English draught beer is also available. 5. Amongst English city centre hotels The Randolph's location couldn't be bettered. 6. The Randolph has been redecorated with care, preserving it's charm. It does not look 'bulk standard'. Some may like it, others dislike it but, at least it's different. 7. In the kitchen, somebody can cook. 8. There is parking. Blemishes. 1. Our room had fridge but no fresh milk. 2. Our wardrobe was tiny and a door jamb stopped the wardrobe's doors opening properly. 3. The excellent work desk in our room also had to double as a tea and coffee servery. 4. Our smallish room didn't have anywhere for cases. 5. Our bedside lamps were feeble and badly placed making them useless for reading in bed.

Firstly, many thanks for Mariya on Front Desk and her manager Marianna who took such wonderful care of us with an amazing upgrade. My personal requests due to limited mobility on the room were well noted. The Suite was generous in size with a high ceiling (2nd floor) and the most comfortable of beds. Our son who has allergies was also well taken care of with a delicious kids menu for our evening meal and he was even given a gift when we left. The restaurant for both our evening meal and breakfast the following morning were excellent, especially a very generous buffet in the morning. We were sad to leave and will return soon for longer.
