Royal Oxford

The exterior of the hotel is in keeping with the history of the area. The reception is small but satisfactory. The stairs to the bedrooms feels a little tired. Our room was a triple room but was in need of a revamp. It had student dorm vibes. The carpet was filthy. It was spacious enough for 3 people. There was a kettle with tea/coffee/hot chocolate but the mugs were really dirty & one had a crack. Reception replaced them with no issue. The location was great for the bus station back to the airport (London Heathrow) & a great base for touring Oxford.

The hotel does not have the ability to unload suitcases without violating traffic regulations. Parking's a problem, too. You have to look and it's expensive. There's no elevator, you have to lift your suitcases up a steep staircase. The room is normal overall, somewhat dated, but quite clean. I got a corner with three windows facing the intersection. With the windows closed, it's stuffy, with the open windows noisy. WiFi is normal.

This hotel is so nice! Our room was nice and big, and very clean. There was nice, crisp bedding and two pillows per person. The bathroom was nice and big and recently renovated. Wonderful staff, and the location can’t be beat. Also, amazing value for money.
