Holiday Inn Express Perth

On our way up to Ullapool, this H I E looked to be a convenient stop over on the A9, and so it proved to be! Location is to the North of Perth city centre, and clear of the suburbs for a convenient - for us - run back to the A9 the following morning. In need of a leg stretch when we arrived, we walked into the city centre, it's straight down Dunkeld Road and took about 25 minutes. Our room was spacious and had all required for a one night stay. We ate at the attached restaurant (sorry can't remember the name), which wasn't very impressive but not the H I E's fault! Overall, if it fits in with your travel plans, you can't go wrong. Recommended.

We stayed here for one night. We had a nice warm welcome in a freezing lobby. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was big and the bed was enormous. It was also an extremely comfortable bed. There was a desk and all the usual amenities. The shower room was OK with the toilet tucked away behind a door - very clever. The shower was efficient but very high to step into. There were some toiletries provided. Breakfast was plentiful with quite a lot of choice. The calories of each item was stated which I found very useful. Decaf coffee was provided. The car park was a good size. All in all a very comfortable night.

I stay at around a 100 ihg hotels a year and this is a decent holiday inn express. Basic but clean..no complaints. Just writing this review before i forget which i usually do...so Anna at reception is a super star..friendly, attentive , went above and beyond to resolve any problem i had..same for aneeka( hope i spelt that right) . When you have staff like this it really makes all the difference whether its a crowne plaza , kimpton or a budget express. Thank you anna and aneeka. Well done
