Tayside Hotel

We needed an overnight stop on a long journey north and this was a perfect location just off the A9. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was large, quiet, and comfortable, and the food was great- both bar meals and breakfast. Everything was clean. The parking was great- large, and easy to access. The only very slight issues were the wifi wasn't great in our room and the TV was a bit glitchy, but overall this is a great hotel, extremely good value and met our needs perfectly.

Jo the owner is a diamond! We've been going for years and will keep going back as these are the the most honest and caring folks ever and can't fault the place, service and local hospitality is second to none, no frills but lovely hard working hosts that pull out all the stops to help!!!!!

The hotel is very dated, dark and dingy, it’s in real need of a renovation. The smell of cigarette smoke on the first floor landing was disgusting, this was coming from a door with no number, so perhaps owners/staff quarters? The beds were uncomfortable, definitely time for the mattresses to be replaced. The blind in the bathroom was torn and the curtains in the bedroom were poorly fitting. When plugged in the kettle did not reach the top of the drawers, so had to be boiled on the floor. The breakfast was good and the lady serving it was lovely.
