Four Seasons Hotel

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in After being moved three we ended up staying in one of the rooms for one night as we had completely no other choice as there was no more accommodation available at all. I can not express how bad this was there was a smell of stale milk on carpet stairs that must have been there for a lifetime We found another hotel the next day checked out and asked the owner for a partial refund and explained how disappointed I was with the hotel He point blank refused So bit of advice if your going to this area book somewhere else

The receptionist with the glasses was basically blaming the staff for not having what they called a room ready, honestly the worst experience ever, receptionist decided to treat me bad, after waiting 2hrs for the room to be ready what I got you will see in the photos, when I asked the larger man manager with the glasses for a refund he told me I can go away, he then asked the receptionist what room he had put me in, the receptionist replied basically the one down the road, and the manager knew straight away that the receptionist was messing with me for no reason. The most toxic staff you will ever meet there I paid 76 quid that never got refunded after trying to with booking.com but the hotel wanted to keep my hard earned money for me not staying in the room, honestly just don't take you're chances, room was not secure and filthy. Not even any toilet roll in the shared bathroom 🤣 enjoy the 76 quid lads maybe upgrade you're rooms with it and more training for the manager and staff.

I did not actually choose to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. I had booked and paid in full for a 'deluxe apartment' at Llys Y Barnwr in Aberystwyth. However on the morning that I was due to arrive, the owner of the apartment, Emyr Tudfor Davies, phoned to tell me that there were problems and that the apartment was not available. He offered alternative accommodation at the nearby Four Seasons Hotel, (which he also owns) and I had no option other than to accept it at this late stage. Everything about The Four Seasons is very run down, very old dirty carpets, stained sofas in it's lounge and grubby dated decor. Filthy single glazed windows covered in seagull pooh that can only be opened a few centimetres. There is no security, the reception desk is halfway through the building and anyone can walk in 24 hours a day. The hotel is in a good location, which is the only positive thing I can say about it. My main conern is about the owner, who also owns several other properties in Aberystwyth. He has a history of contacting his guests just before they arrive and telling them that the accommodation they've booked is unavailable and then offering them a place in one of his other lower graded properties. So please think twice and be very cautious before booking at The Four Seasons Hotel.
