Cringletie House Castle

The owner and staff were v kind and helpful when one of our party was taken very ill. The suite we stayed in had fabulous views over fields and the hills beyond . The bed was large and comfy. Good tea and coffee making facilities , with a tot available too Sadly the ornate curtains were beginning to fray with a couple of damp patches on the ceiling . The large bathroom was down a few stairs with a bath and separate powerful shower. The towels were large and wonderfully soft. Unfortunately the shower had some mould growing in it . The breakfast was plentiful. The evening menu was beautifully served . The grounds and garden are lovely in a very quiet beautiful peaceful setting . The staff were very friendly . Generally the hotel needs some money spent on it to warrant the cost of the stay .

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Cringletie and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff were efficient and very friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the walled garden particularly pretty. As it was our anniversary, I had asked Cringletie to arrange flowers for my wife and they were among the most beautiful I've seen. The hand-written card from the owner was really appreciated too. The outside paintwork on some of the windows is needing attention but it did not detract from our enjoyment.

We absolutely loved our second stay at Cringletie (where we got married in 2025). Rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable, with beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and countryside. The staff are all lovely and the food in the restaurant is absolutely superb (prepare to go on a diet after your stay there). The gardens are beautiful, with woodland, a putting green, and a walled garden which looks lovely in spring and summer. It’s a real ‘hidden gem’ of a place!
