Lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, the 2 golf courses had suffered in the summer heat. There were a lot of leaves on the ground on both courses which meant finding your ball even on the fairway very difficult. The Sapphire course looked as though it had been left to fend for itself. It wasn't worth playing. It's a pity as with a bit of care it could be a pretty short and quirky course.

The front desk staff were friendly enough but that’s where most of the niceties ended. The pool was also acceptable. The rooms were old and dirty, as were the bathrooms. I mean give the cleaners some black mould cleaner and some viakall! Even the doors were dirty. The whole hotel was too hot and needs air con installed everywhere. The breakfast was poor, not in choice (unless you’re vegan) but in quality. Disappointing stay. I wish 4 start related to quality and not the services they offer.

Played golf at this establishment- green watered and ok - rest of the course appalling- tees never watered all summer rock hard - leaves everywhere - £50 to play - taking the micky- lots of other local courses lot better and cheaper !!! Won’t be coming back
