The Wroxeter Hotel

I recently held National Ablepreneurs Day at The Wroxeter Hotel and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to support us, and their generosity, kindness and professionalism made the day truly special. The venue is beautiful, accessible, and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I’m incredibly grateful for everything they did to help make the event such a success.

Audrey I and my son Jack attended our best friends wedding on the 27/09/26. Wow Jack, Lana and myself travelled to the venue. Lana is from Australia and is a family friend of Jo and Paul. Upon arrival we were greeted by a welcoming team. We then joined the bridal party in the bridal suite. The marriage ceremony took place in the yut. And the wedding breakfast was served in the tipyees. The first couples wedding dance was on the dance floor in the hotel. What a fantastic team 👍🏽so accommodating.

We booked our wedding at The Wroxeter Hotel and paid the full amount in cash. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel, giving the hotel 10 months’ notice. We were told that the hotel would endeavour to resell our date and, after the date had passed, calculate whether any refund could be offered. Unfortunately, the date was not resold and, although a very small partial refund was eventually agreed, our experience throughout the cancellation process was extremely disappointing. What particularly let us down was the level of customer service. Despite still being customers while the hotel held our money, communication was poor and we frequently had to chase for updates. On one occasion, we were also incorrectly told that we still owed money, which was later explained as an administrative error. Cancelling our wedding was already an incredibly stressful and difficult situation. We had hoped for some understanding and support from the venue, but instead found the communication and customer service to be very disappointing. The hotel itself may be a beautiful setting, but in our experience, good customer service did not match it. Sadly, based on what we experienced, we cannot recommend The Wroxeter Hotel as a wedding venue.
