Royal Oak Hotel

We always come every year,Laura and her team give a warm welcome,they treat you like family ,we love staying here ,the rooms are lovley ,and the Bar staff are lovley too ,and the house keeping team are excellent.And the meals are delicious.The menu has a lot off choice and the Breakfasts are delicious.Good value for money .Lovley Hotel.Lovley decor.Car park is safe for you're cars they have a Barrier and you get a code from reception when you leave.

Let down by one of the Reception staff. On arrival, both of us in our 70s and carrying 2 heavy cases, we’re eyed by Chris (already “Mentioned in Dispatches”!), who clearly had no intention of helping us up the stairs with our cases (there is no lift). It was left to Charlotte to give us a hand. Subsequently, when a bath-mat was requested, Chris simply said that he didn’t know if any was available… A shame, as the accommodation, if a bit tired, and the food were fine.

What a lovely hotel. The staff were all friendly, efficient and well motivated. The restaurant was excellent serving a really good dinner and an brilliant breakfast. Everything about the place was great, shame about the stairs, but that`s part of the old world.
